Miss! Miss!
OMG! When the hell did I become a trainee teacher? Seriously. One minute I'm sat in my bedroom in Sheffield handing out blank pieces of paper to non-existent 'pupils' and putting ticks next to misspelt names on a homemade register. The next? I'm about to register on a course which expects me to hand out sheets and tick off names on a register, just like I did when I was 4. Only this time I will be confronted with a classroom full of pupils who cannot be bothered and would rather setup hate groups entitled 'Miss Lambo55 looks like a rat's arse' on Facebook. SHIT.
Yes, this has been my life's ambition since I was an apple in my father's eye. Yes, I do still want to do it, but, SHIT.
So... first things first. I have to look the part. Only problem is, I look about 12 :S Is it wrong that I sometimes wish there was an opposite treatment to botox? You know, just something that will make my skin sag just that little bit more than it should?
Oh, dear... I have officially lost it :/
Anyway, I am leaving you for another year. Ciao for now!

Two years on...
Well, this is interesting.
After reading on a certain social networking site (*cough*Facebook*cough*) that a friend had started a blog, I decided to look for a website to start my own.
First website I open, I am faced with my very own blog from two years ago!
Unsurprisingly, after setting up my account and filling in the obligatory 'about me' section, I moved on and my blog was left, never to be seen again. Until today.
So, what's happened over the past two years, I hear my many followers ask. Well, in short, I've grown up more than I could have imagined. I've learnt that I can and will succeed if I just put my mind to something. I've realised that what I have to say IS of worth and I've met the most hilarious, interesting, understanding people who I hope to be friends with for the rest of my days.
Being a third year university student fills me with a mixture of emotions. I can't wait for what the future holds, but I also don't want it to end. I feel like university is going very slowly and I need to be on to the next stage in my life already, but when I think back to Freshers' week, almost two years ago, I realise just how quickly it's gone!
I've noticed a lot of people my age suggesting that they are old recently. Of all the comments I'd expect 20-21 year olds to make, this is not one of them. Twenty-one is only the beginning of a great adventure and, personally, I CANNOT WAIT!
Here's to an exciting, terrifying and emotional third year!

The Advent of Social Networking
Imagine your life ten years ago... yes, that time when people spoke to one another either face-to-face or over the phone. It seems like ions ago now, doesn't it?
Social networking has changed the way we communicate in an unpresidented way. I can easily find out what's new with my friends at uni without even talking to them. All I have to do is log in and look- simple! Then, if I have something to say, I can. During the christmas break, I knew exactly what all my friends were doing, even those who live 250 miles away!
Social networking sites can be very useful and informative. A month ago, I lost my purse whilst at uni. I was devastated and spent the night cancelling all my cards. However, the next morning I logged into Facebook to find that I had a message from another student wanting to know if I had lost my purse, and if so, when would I like to collect it. Without the networking ability that social networking sites produce, I would have never known what happened to my purse.
But, there is a downside to all this ease of communication. EVERYONE KNOWS YOUR BUSINESS. If you decide to go to Tesco at 3am, you will more than likely update your status and tell all your friends the thrilling new development. Privacy no longer stands for anything. Everyone knows everyone's business. If a relationship breaks-down, it is made public to the world and it's neighbour.
